WOW color combo: lime, coral, black layouts

Oh, wow! Talk about a compelling color… I just KNEW this new Lemon Lime Twist was going to shake things up and revitalize our tired old color combos! When you get yours (available for sneak peek purchase May 2nd, 2017, and full In Color line and new catalog on June 1st!) be sure to try this outrageously fun combination of Calypso Coral, Basic Black, and Lemon Lime. It's SO fun!

This first card was made entirely from scraps from the other two! It's my favorite of the bunch. I sat down for a stampin' session with Flower Patch, one of my most-loved stamp sets. it's retiring, so I won't be demonstrating with it again, and you'll need to order it NOW before it's gone. I never did get the coordinating Framelits for it, but those are also retiring and while supplies last. So get thee to my online store to Shop With Lyssa and check out the retirement sale, pronto.

I seriously can't get enough of this color combo… especially when you add a dab of the Lemon Lime Twist pattern in the new Eastern Palace Designer Series Papers. What a hot ticket for summer stamping!

All three of these layouts are super simple, but they let the graphic flowers shine, and the colors take center stage. The Basic Black cardstock bases and Whisper White backgrounds are the perfect foil for all that intense color.

I have to tell you about this last card… everything that could go wrong, did… on my first try, I caught a line of Calypso Coral ink from the edge of the clear block. On my second try, I dropped the stamp on the last flower–picked it up and dropped it AGAIN. Third try, one of the black flowers only partially inked and it was more than I could easily fix with a Sharpie. Fourth try… the stamping was successful, but then I adhered the floral piece to the card base upside-down!!! I decided to call it a night, after that.

So drop me a comment and let me know what you think of this new color combo! Will you be trying it? Is it out of your comfort zone, but strangely compelling? And here I thought this was the only new In Color I wasn't going to like!
