Well, I've been a busy girl this week. Sale A Bration might be over for 2010, but there's an exciting April ahead of me and lots to keep me occupied. I've been stressing out a wee bit over my presentation at the regional conference on Saturday, so I set that on the back burner once I decided what I was going to show, and focused instead on the Workshop of a Lifetime (WOAL) event that is on the 15th.
For those of you who missed it, my downline Karen Cooper, a real go-getter, won a contest and gets to have Shelli Gardner, president and co-founder of Stampin' Up, come and do a workshop for her. There were only 24 winners, so this is a really big deal! We get Shelli from one o'clock on, so we have planned a demonstrator event in the afternoon before the actual workshop in the evening. I'm in charge of that part, so with Karen's help we are coordinating a fun, casual afternoon with stamping projects, swapping, individual photo shoots with Shelli, a Q&A time, maybe a little contest, and of course an inspirational chat!
So when I say "casual," I just mean we're limiting it to 30 demos so that we can really get to enjoy meeting and getting to know Shelli in an informal setting. Some of the other winners are throwing huge bashes with literally hundreds of demos attending, but Karen and I are both on the same page about this–there will be many other chances to enjoy Shelli in a big group setting–this is literally a once in a lifetime chance to have her in Karen's home, at one of our group meetings.
So! it's still a ton of work, but it's all fun… this past week I made 40 card swaps and twenty 3-D swaps for regionals, I made 30 swaps for the WOAL meeting, designed, ordered and cut out two of the three Make N Takes, and made up several door prizes. That's one of them above. So enjoy–I've used that stationery case pattern for years and it is an excellent one. You can easily turn it into an adorable purse as well. Now, I have to get back to the grindstone. Wish me good mojo as I work on my presentation! It's all so exciting…. I've been shopping for the cruise, pre-registering and planning shore excursions, too. My life since Stampin' Up is never boring!
Lyssa – I love the stationary pak. Just gorgeous. Not sure how I came across your blog but love your work. TFS! Congrats on all the SU happenings in your life. I am a relatively new demo, mostly hobby but I like to see people achieving great things with SU!
