How I love my newest toys!! Ok, well, confession time–they're not new. I bought this stamp set and die-cutting bundle several months ago, but events conspired to keep me SO swamped I didn't get to play with them until this week! Isn't that the saddest story ever???
The brand new set Watercolor Wings and matching Sizzix Framelits for the Big Shot have been a SMASH hit, and it's easy to see why… they're magical together. I love creating butterflies in ANY ink color combo, and cutting them out quickly and easily with the Framelits. These are definitely keepers!
Last week I made a short video tutorial on how to do the cute and quick "squash-fold" card in this first picture–click here to view it if you missed it earlier. Here's the card when it is opened up:
Super fun. I loved the color combo of Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum–dark and light lavender is always a sure-fire hit…
While I had all the stuff out to make the Squash-Fold Card, I had extra butterflies so I made a couple other cards, too. Here's a pretty and elegant one. Notice the extra little bitty pearls around the Iced Rhinestone embellishment–can we say FANCY PANTS???
And then I was simultaneously working on the designs for next month's Cheat Sheets Collection #10 and decided to give you all a sneak peek. This is the "easy" card for the collection, a super-simple, start-the-stampin'-session type project. In amongst the fancier things I always try to include one Cheat Sheet that's so easy you won't ever forget how to do it–it just becomes part of your repertoire.
So there we go–how's THAT for a jam-packed post??? Click any image in the supply list below to check out the individual products I used to make these cards. All supplies Stampin' Up, and all available through me as your demonstrator. Ready, Set, STAMP!
