I got to decorate for a baby shower for some new friends this week, and it was so fun! Our theme was "sweet dreams" and I used stars and buttons for the main motif. The Many Merry Stars kit came in handy once again for 3-D star boxes of all sizes!
I planned the decor around colors and patterns in the very versatile new Lullaby Designer Series Paper. I love making banners for baby showers because the new moms always like to glom them for the nursery afterwards. I actually made this one reversible, since the colors and patterns on the other side of the "boy" papers are great for "girl" colors! That way it can be used again if their second child is a girl OR boy. That was smart thinkin' on the part of the Lullaby paper designers… for the second table I used a line from Jesus Loves Me for the banner.
The favors were just quick little white paper sacks with star diecuts and punches on them. I also decorated the gifts for the games with tags made from the scraps and bits left from the banners, so they matched the decor, too! Fun!
