I had fun making the decorations for my Customer Appreciation open house last weekend! I used Calypso Coral, Lucky Limemade, Island Indigo and So Saffron cardstock and Designer Series Paper Stacks to make these banners and pennant bouquets in fun, summery colors.
I went a wee bit overboard on the food! We had chocolate mousse with fresh berries, cream cheese with sweet pepper relish and fresh thyme, crudites with dill ranch dip, fruit skewers, and cherry tomato/mozarella shiskabobs with fresh basil. All the herbs were picked an hour earlier from my garden! I also served pineapple lemonade punch and raspberry-infused iced tea.
TIP: look at the CUTE idea below for fancy party straws! I remembered it from way back during Pam Morgan's stamping presentation on the South Caribbean cruise in 2010.
These were so quick, and they really added to the party. I used my Big Shot to cut a variety of flowers quickly and easily using the Fun Flowers die. You can also use the Island Flowers die that just retired in May. I punched holes in the center with my Crop A Dile, and threaded a different combination of large and small flowers on every straw. So everyone knew which drinks were theirs, based on their flower! Super simple and so pretty. Wouldn't those be a hit at your next summer party?
So fun!!
