Photo Tutorial: Three-Minute Stamped Candles

SOMHS Stamped Candle Tutorial

Welcome to another fun and easy photo tutorial, free from Song of My Heart! Today I'm sharing how to make these super quick stamped DIY candles in about three minutes flat. To make your own, you'll need candles (duh!), plain tissue paper, waxed paper, stamps and ink, a pair of scissors, and a heat gun. If you don't have one of those yet, I reccommend the Heat Tool from Stampin' Up, newly redesigned with all sorts of safety features plus two different heat settings for different applications. And no, a hair dryer won't work! You really do need a heat gun.

I got my short pillar candles inexpensively from the Dollar Tree since they are intended for decorative use only. Some colors of candles might not work for this project, so practice on one before you invest in a large number.

Before we begin, I'll ask you to make certain that you don't let kids attempt this project without adult supervsion, and that you read carefully the safety guidelines I've added at the end of this tutorial. Use of this tutorial and any others on this website constitutes a full release of Song of My Heart from any and all liabilty. All right, glad that's out of the way! Let's get started!

There you have it! I made twenty of these and packaged them up for gifts, in about an hour. It doesn't get much easier than that to make beautiful gifts for teachers, co-workers, friends and relatives this holiday season. You could even make wonderfully personalized wedding favors! The possibilities are really exciting. Just make sure each candle you gift comes with a tag explaining the safety precautions.

I would also be happy to do a special order for you! Let me know how many candles you need and we'll work together on the images, and your candles can be the talk of the town for any special occasion.

Thanks so much for visiting Song of My Heart today. I love having you, and I'd love it even more if you'd leave a comment and let me know you appreciate the free inspiration provided here. Your comments keep me encouraged and posting! And if you need stamps, ink, or anything else papercrafty, I'm your girl. Click here to visit my online store, and happy browsing!
