Ahhh, my favorite holiday. And the least favorite holiday of my BFF Penni, who prefers Halloween. But both our favorites have something very important in common–CANDY! More specifically, chocolate.
It's probably no wonder that both of us glommed the More than Chocolate stamp set when it appeared in the 2017-18 Stampin' Up Idea Book & Catalog. Enjoy DAY ONE of Penni & Lyssa's Last Minute Valentine Adventure, our annual blog series featuring quick and easy ideas to squeeze in some homemade crafty goodness in our busy modern lives. Missed last year? see it here.
Today's post showcases a basket-full of ideas that you can use if your idea of a great holiday is also one that includes a lot of the good stuff. It takes some serious sincerity for me to tell someone I love them more than chocolate!
Cute, huh? The Wooden Crate thinlets make a perfect little basket that's going to be fun for Valentine's, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter goodies. Just add a handle of a 1/2 by 11 inch strip of cardstock. It's just the thing for a bunch of adorable 3×3 cards with matching Mini Envelopes.
Speaking of LOVE, nothing says it quite like a big old diamond. But, barring that, how about a box of chocolates?
I made this chocolate box card, but I got the idea from Penni. The 2.25 and 2.5 inch circle punches coordinate perfectly to make a teeny box of truffles! I had fun using different foil and glitter cardstock for the lids. Too cute!
The More Than Chocolate stamp set comes with a zillion (actual count) little truffles and decorative toppings. It's fun to fit the pieces in like a puzzle, then dream of all the yumminess you're drizzling into the box. Add a little Wink of Stella clear glimmer, and it looks good enough to eat!
Can you believe I somehow do not own the Sweet & Sassy Framelits??? Penni let me use hers and I'm hooked. I loved how fast they made this fun pop-up card. And they coordinate with a set in the Spring 2018 Occasions Catalog, too. Do you think she'll notice if I keep them?
I'll zip up a tutorial for this pop-up project as soon as I get a minute. It's one of those that looks complicated but it actually really easy. AND you can do it with any shape of Framelits, too. I love learning a new tip!
Thanks for joining us today as we kick off our Valentine Adventures all week long. As usual, we've left things to the last minute–but that's ok, because that's when the real-life papercrafting stuff kicks in. See you tomorrow!
Such fun projects!! I love that chocolate stampset too, and today’s projects are some awesome inspiration. I love the little wood crate filled with 3×3 cards, those are just darling. Can’t wait for the pop-up card tutorial, and looking forward to all the projects to come this week!!
Love this pop up card! Please do that video soon!
Love them all. How do you suggest stamping/coloring – it is 2 stamp, correct?
Très jolies cartes, encore une fois, j’aime beaucoup la dernière. Bonne journée.
