Funny little card to share with you on this bright and sunshiny Monday! I have been noticing the resurgance of 80's and 90's styles in fashion and decor with trepidation… no one is ever going to get me to "peg" my pants, "feather" my hair, wear double layers of socks or done legwarmers any time soon. But I wouldn't mind it if granny dresses and combat boots came back, broomstick skirts are definitely to be found on the racks once more, and the Jennifer Anniston hairdo actually worked on me! I know, I'm totally dating myself here–but I hope you got a laugh thinking back, too.
I noticed right away that if you only use the lightest shade of the 3-piece Melon Mambo Blendabilities set, it looks very neon! Neon is something you'll never see me wearing again no matter how stylish it may become!
I'd colored this image back on the very first day I got these new alcohol-based markers, and set it aside as worthy of keeping but needing "just the right card" to go on. I wanted something fun and unexpected to go with the scribble. I ended up having to make my own mat from Whisper White and the Melon Mambo Blendabilies marker to match the pink, but Soft Sky was the perfect color to match the lightest shade of the Night of Navy Blendabilities, and I had some fun coloring the glass faceted buttons to match. Did you know you can color buttons, rhinestones, pearls and more with these new markers? Sweetness! Or should I say, totally rad, dude.
I think your colors and method go well with this stamp image.
