Mini Photo Tutorial: Brusho rainbow baby wipe technique

While I was working on the January 2018 Class of the Month online club projects last week, I discovered a fun, less-messy and very economical way to use our new line of Brusho Color Crystals to make gorgeous rainbow backgrounds.

All you need is a good quality baby wipe (not too think or prone to shed fibers), your Brusho powder assortment, and several card-front-sized pieces of paper (watercolor or Shimmery White reccomended; I use Whisper White thick or regular, too) .

Start by spreading out the baby wipe to one thickness, on a surface that won't stain. Sprinkle the Brusho colors on in rainbow order. The crystals activate as soon as they strike the wet wipe; if the wipe is a little on the dry side, you can spritz it with the Stampin' Spritz mister bottle with additional water or rubbing alcohol.

Leave the baby wipe flat and press your paper down onto it. I use my largest clear block to make sure the pressing is evenly distributed. Then lift the paper straight up and off the wipe, quickly. The longer it stays down, the more of a pulpy mess you'll make, so don't leave it there.

Use your Aqua Painters or a watercolor brush to cover any unfortunate blank spots, while the Brusho can still be manipulated. That way you won't have an "H" for "Huggies" imprinted on your background : )

Set the sheets of cardstock aside to dry. You can get about four backgrounds from one baby wipe, more if you mist it to further activate the crystals. It's a time-saving, cheap way to get a bunch of Brusho backgrounds in a hurry. Plus, clean up is crazy quick–just pick up the wipe and toss it in the trash.
