Hey scrappers! Are you just in hog heaven looking at all the inspiration during 31 Pages in 31 Days? I love it!!! It's been awesome to have a chance to cut into some papers I've been longing to play with. I hope you're enjoying yourself and pinning ideas for the next time you get to have a little crafty session all to yourself.
Today's inspiration layout is another two-page spread, this one inspired by a designer's sketchbook. I wanted it to look like swatches of wall paper, paint, fabric and flooring. How do you think I did with this concept?
I WISH this was the color scheme of my place!! I do hope to get some new carpet soon, and our next BIG project is a remodel of our one and only bathroom. It will be super fun to get to play with all those lovely sample tiles and swatches. I can't wait to update big time!
But you can swap out the greens (Soft Sea Foam and Mossy Meadow) for colors that complement whatever house photos you are showing off.
To be honest, I had a total ball making this page. I used real pins and tacks (with the pointy ends hammered down and taped over on the back side) and lots of odds and ends from my ribbon and paper scraps. The photorealistic 12×12 papers in the In Good Taste paper stack provided all the texture I could ask for. Too much fun!
If you're super enjoying the creativity, I encourage you to sign up for my newsletter ASAP. In the next issue I'll be opening registration for my online Scrapbook Summer School four-week class next month. Because the mail is so unpredictable this year, the kits will come in one package instead of four–which will save you big time on shipping!
I'm super excited for September and continuing the scrapbook fun. I hope you can join us! Subscribe now so you don't miss the announcement next week.
