Don't you wish we were playing in the same craft room right now? We'd have so much fun! It's rainy and gray here today, the perfect day to stay inside and stamp! I'm all about plaid right now–I think I've made probably 20 cards this week using all different patterns from the Plaid Tidings paper stack.

These aren't fancy, but they're cheerful and colorful and get my message across, so they work!

I've been really struck lately by how much even a super simple card can mean. I have to let you in on a secret. it really isn't about the card at all. It's about the caring behind it. The card is just an excuse, a front for the comforting little mental hug we get when we realize someone cared.

I want to be known as someone who was never too busy to cheer up a friend. Who never put her "art" above her mission. The cards got in the mail because that was the important part, not what they looked like, or even if they were handmade or not (gasp!)

Cardmaking is addictive, and so is kindness. Get those cards in the mail, friend!
