Bright Wishes anniversary wishing well card

My Stampin' Up demonstrator team threw a fantastic "shoebox swap" style event on Monday night, so I have some FUN new cards to share this week with some stamp sets I don't actually own (yet). If you've never heard of a shoebox swap, it's an even where everyone designs a card and then brings enough for everyone else to make one. You pack up all the supplies to make it in a shoebox or tote (hence the name) and place them around the room on tables. Then the attendees go around and make one card at every station. Works whether you have four participants –or forty!

Kathy Van Duser brought a Bright Wishes card and we used Aqua Painters and the new Watercolor Pencils on the beautiful wishing well image. I added a little more shading with my Stampin' Write Markers when I got home, as well as some glitter (I can't help myself!) I wasn't going to buy this set because I don't usually take the time to do a lot of coloring, but this was sooo relaxing to work on, I might have to rethink that stamp set!

I thought an anniversary card was appropriate to post today, because it's our 20th wedding anniversary! I have been married to this handsome history professor for two decades now–quite literally half my life, as I was only 20 when we got married. That was the smartest decision this dumb blonde EVER made! : )
