Diamond Scalloped Envelope Basket and Top Note Bunny

I had a lot of fun whipping up these Easter baskets for my kids this past week out of the Scallop Envelope Big Shot die. You just cut out four, attach them side to side with Sticky Strip, fold in and adhere the bottoms, and add a handle. So easy as so cute! And I like that they didn't hold a huge amount of candy–because at our house we understand that the candy and the eggs are fun, but they aren't what Easter is really all about. I did have to include Peeps, though. They are a tradition. And yes, Mommy consumed one whole box of Peeps herself while creating the kiddoes' baskets.
I got the Top Note bunny idea from a couple of sources, but here's my version. Isn't he cute? Yet another use for those gorgeous oval punches. And his little nose is an upside down heart from the Heart to Heart Punch. Too fun!
But what I really wanted to point out was the diamond-shaped Scallop Envelope basket (the yellow SAB DSP one above). I have not seen this anywhere before–I may have actually invented it–who knows? Anyway, this was made by putting together the box as above, but then instead of adhering the flaps down straight like a normal box, I skewed them sideways and then adhered it. It is just as sturdy and holds just as much as the original square box, but it something a little different and cute for you to try!
