Betsy’s Blossoms & Bird’s Nest

DSCF0724 copy
Ok, one more thing with Betsy's Blossoms and then I PROMISE I'll move on and try to enable you to buy other things, um, did I say enable? I meant INSPIRE. Yeah, that was it!

I am enjoying the combination of our fantastic new Firm Foam ink pads and the solid art style stamps found in this set. No more bare spots or cross-hatching from the fabric! The only downside I've found so far to the new style pads is that they are super juicy–so if you forget that they only need ONE tap now instead of multiple taps, sliding, or twisting to ink them properly–you wind up with a stamp FULL of ink! So it will take a little mental re-setting to remember to tap just once to ink your stamp.

All the pads will be available in the new style on June 1st, 2012, when the new catalog goes live. I can't wait!! You guys are going to love them. I used all the lucicous new In Colors except Primrose Petals–Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse and Raspberry Ripple– on this card. The saying came from the You Are Loved stamp set.

TIP: I wanted a nest for my bird and was tickled to find out the large dahlia-type flower in this stamp set fits the 2.5 inch circle punch nicely. I sliced off the bottom of the flower to use for my little nest and now my birdie is happy. Her name is Betsy, apparently. Sorry, Brenda B, you don't get to name this one! she came named already!

NOTE: I might be using this design for one of my convention swaps, so demonstrators, please don't copy for that purpose–thanks! Feel free to email me and double check on other designs if you want, tho. I appreciate those who have already done so : )

  1. Hee hee! That’s OK…she’s following the established rules. Her first initial matches her last initial. Phil the Phriendly Pheasant, Odelia the Outgoing Owl….
Now we just need to think of a descriptive word for her, and we’ll be all set!
