Are you playing along with the 31 Pages in 31 days challenge? Or maybe trying to make a card a day every day this month? Whether you like to craft a little here and there, or go full blast on weekends, I've got ideas for you! My tagline is "real life papercrafting" and I hope you feel like I live up to that promise, with pretty but practical ideas for real-life crafters, just like me.
Today's inspiration pages are actually a sneaky peeky from what my Suite Sampler subscribers are getting this month! I used the Peony Garden papers, Whisper White, and one sheet of Soft Sea Foam green to decorate this friendship layout.
I stamped the largest peony in Smoky Slate ink right on the subtly patterned paper on the right. It adds a pleasing asymmetry to the layout, and draws attention to the headline, which is small and would be "lost" without some hoopla around it.
One of my favorite parts about this layout is that it uses the skinny scraps created by trimming one inch off the background paper on the right hand page, cut into four-inch strips, to decorate the left hand page. You can journal on them or just leave them blank as a page element that brings some of the texture and color from the right side over to the left. Fun!
I used the dotted tulle ribbon and the Elegant Faceted Dots that will be coming in this month's Suite Sampler to embellish my page. We are going to have a lot of fun with that kit!!
