Oh, friends, I've had my eye on this Sunburst Thinlet die since it came out last year, and it never quite made it onto an order until last week. I am SO glad I got this! It makes me SO happy! I mean seriously, who could see a card like this and not smile? It's the tail-end of winter here in Wisconsin and I need all the sunshine I can get, whether it's a cheery color of cardstock, the result of a color-based personality quiz, or a "folded hug" in my mailbox.
If you'd like to make this at home, here's what I used:

I got just such a folded hug from my Australian demonstrator friend Linda Dalke in the mail this week. I was teasing her in a chat forum about not liking So Saffron. I told her it was one of my very favorite colors, and I was going to make her a card that would change her mind!
So she asked me what MY least-loved color is right now, and then she sent me this gorgeous Flirty Flamingo sample to change my mind.
I just love how she used the Delicate Lace Doily in two different ways–once as a stencil, for the background, and once pressed into Versamark, sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. It's so glamorous! Lovely card, Linda!
I think we got each other to look at these colors in a new light! It's fun to send and receive cards. Don't ever underestimate the simple pleasure of opening the mailbox and discovering there is a little personal bit of love in there, just for you.
Who needs a card from you today?
Great card with the Sunburts thinlits die. I’d better use mine. 🙂 Thanks for all the inspiration!
