Yesterday afternoon my fifth level upline Kristen Bryant drove in from the Twin Cities area to throw a meeting for her Wisconsin downlines (which is so awesome of her!). We had a "Christmas in November" theme as we are all busily working on Christmas cards and gifts at this time of year. Here are some of the amazing things I saw at the meeting!
This first card is by Cathy B. using the Inset Embossing technique (photo tutorial here). The cute Christmas tree below was made by one of Cheryl N's customers from the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Fabrics (located on page 16 of the Holiday Mini Catalog.)
Look at this cool candleholder made from metal flashing and the Big Shot with the Snowflake Bigz die! We'll be making this at Big Shot Club on December 6th–let me know if you want to visit and see if club would work for you!
Kristen made us all these adorable cocoa packet holders using the Candy Bar Covers idea (photo tutorial here). She just adapted the measurements to fit the size of what she wanted to slide out when you pull the ribbon. So cute!
Here's one of our Make N Takes… this is a little packet of gift cards, made from one of the long open-end envelopes. We used one of the bundles on sale now from the Holiday Mini Catalog–the Tags 'Till Christmas and Decorative Label Punch bundle. It fits three 3×3 cards and mini envelopes nicely inside. Here it is when it is open–
Cute and QUICK… and cheap, too! All of which make it the perfect go-to gift for those people in your life for whom a simple card is not quite enough, yet you don't wish to give a big gift. I am also a big fan of giving people consumable items–things they can use up, rather than items that have to be stored, washed, dusted, hung up, etc.
I have TONS of photos from this great meeting that I will be sharing this week…. which is good, because I need a break! I about broke myself getting everything accomplished for the start of craft fair season, plus family visiting and "birthday week" at our house. So stay tuned for more Christmas in November!
Wow! Lots of wonderful ideas and goodies to check out here! I am sure you must have had a fab time with all your fellow demos! Hugs xxaxx
