This paper pack completely won me over as I prepared for the April 2023 Suite Sampler inspiration samples! Delicate Desert was not first on my list of pretty papers to order (I don’t live anywhere near the desert, for one thing!) but I did love the earthy colors and bohemian-style motif.
I was more than pleasantly surprised to discover how quickly my cards and pages pulled together with this suite. Even though I was short on crafting time this month, I ended up making seven scrapbook pages and eight cards. I still have two full sheets and a couple partials to use up, too, so there’s another fun Delicate Desert session in my near future!
The colors that coordinate with these papers are Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Cajun Craze, Pale Papaya, Petal Pink and Sahara Sand. I paired mine with Very Vanilla and Soft Suede brown. I used the Tailored Tag punch a lot as it looked great with the Navajo blanket motif. I also think it looks very “retro 50’s hotel” here on this page I made (in advance) for the Stampin’ Up conference at Red Rocks resort outside Las Vegas this summer!
I love doing the Suite Sampler samples because I HAVE to scrapbook for “work,” you know??? So I literally have a day of the month where I can say, “Sorry, I can’t, I have to scrapbook” and it’s not a joke! But I love making the cards, too. Unlike scrapbooking, there’s a chance that you might actually finish someday!
