Have you tried Stampin' Up's new Thinlits Card dies for the Big Shot? They are so amazing! When I first saw them, I thought they were cute, but not very versatile. Boy, was I ever wrong… there are lots of ways to use the die to make totally unique cards.
At my October 2013 Advanced Papercrafters Class, we started with a basic card and made ten different ones, including this extender panel technique, which is illustrated here. It more than doubled the usable space for writing on the inside of the card.
The basic card can be used with the flip-fold at the top or bottom of the card, or the card can be turned on it's side, as shown below.
Isn't this a great color scheme? I love it. Primrose Petals, Crisp Cantaloupe, Raspberry Ripple and Blushing Bride with Pear Pizzazz. Can't beat that adorable Crisp Cantloupe ruffled trim, either!
Then we also learned easy techniques for lining either the whole card or a part of it with patterned papers. It was a great class! We were there until ten o'clock!
Here's a list of the stuff you'll need to order if you want to make these cards. Be sure to contact me if you have any questions about what to order. I am more than happy to help you figure out how to get the most bang for your buck! Click on any link to go browse my online store.
