This is such a fun project and credit for all the inspiration goes to my friend and fellow SU demo, Jan Hoyt (inkerzaway). Thanks for showing my your album at Leadership, Jan! We will be making these little cuties at the Magnolia Ridge scrapbooking retreat this week. I am thrilled that everyone will get to see how awesomely versatile the Big Shot is, by cutting four different types of materials–DSP, cardstock, acetate, and chipboard–to make this album, all just as easily as a sheet of paper.
Now, don't get distracted by the adorable babies in the photos–my neice Lexi and nephew Jadin–focus on the album! I know it's hard when they're so cute.
Their photos are mounted on Whisper White cardstock Top Note pages, and between them I layered an acetate Top Note stamped with White Stazon. So when the actetate page is flipped over EITHER picture, the stamping shows! The only trick is finding two photos that the same stamping looks equally well with. And of course, since the acetate page will be technically "backwards" over one of the photos, you can't stamp any words on there. Well, you can, but people would look at you funny.
Isn't that the sweetest little project? I would LOVE to show you how to make this album. In fact, if you purchase the Big Shot or the Special Edition Starter Kit in March (thereby earning a bunch of free Sale A Bration rewards in addition to the great deal!), I will be hosting a FREE BIG SHOT CLASS in April where this will be one of the projects! Contact me today to put your name on the list!
Hey this is great! My DDs best friend is moving away this year, and what a great album to make her with all her friends pics in it! I think I will add pages for ‘autographs’ from friends too!
Adorable project & adorable kids, too! Now, why didn’t I preorder any of that acetate???!
I have been meaning to make an album out of the top note die. This one is too cute! I love the idea of using acetate! TFS!
