Black snowflakes???! Why not when they're this fabulous with lace and pearls? I went really glam for this Stitched Rectangles Christmas card design in Basic Black and Very Vanilla. The papers are in the Simply Elegant specialty paper pack (if you haven't seen it, it's soooo fancy!) and the stamp I used is a new one called Thinking Thanks & Peace.
I have a very eclectic taste in papercrafts–I love it ALL! Even styles that I don't personally gravitate towards I learn to appreciate because they're so well designed! So mixing black lace and Christmas didn't seem odd to me at all… art is about risk, and sometimes it pays off!
Here's a second design that's way more traditional! And it came entirely from my scrap bin!
I made a bunch of these and they all sold at my craft fair last weekend! Somebody is going to get to send out these cute quilt-inspired cards to all their friends and family. I used scrap strips from the Peaceful Prints paper pack (limited edition–did you miss it? Email me and I'll hook you up! It was totally classic Christmas prints!)
What really makes these cards is that giant snowflake, though! Did you notice it was colored with a black Sharpie on the first card, too? They are my best kept secret this year because they're laser-cut and you don't have to mess with dies and poking out all the little pieces. Check them out here!
My third Christmas share is also completely different from the others….
I've been totally hooked on Peaceful Cabin this Christmas, so much so that I've lost count on how many designs I've been able to make! That's the sign of a GREAT stamp set, eh? It was the Suite Sampler box last month and the Class of the Month this month… I promise I'll move on soon : )
There you go–that's fifteen completely different Christmas looks for the year so far. See the first, the second and the third here. It's almost time for another set of three… let that be a warning, fall is moving FAST! If you need help settling on a design for your personal holiday cards this year, contact me! There's something for everyone in this year's mini catalog.
