Sweet as can bee

We're trucking towards the May 22nd cut-off date for retiring stamp set production, so I'm sharing as many cards as I can with discontinued stamp sets. Some of them need to be seen in action to really be appreciated!  See the updated retirement list here.

Here's three different "Sweet As Can Bee" designs I made yesterday with the Shooting Star stamp set. I didn't use the coordinating Sliding Star Framelits, which turn all the images in this set into slider "action" cards, but it can also be used just fine by itself or with homemade slider card techniques. The paper airplane stamp is especially cute, I think. But today as all about the bees!

The Wooden Expressions elements were retired previously… I hope those show up on the Clearance Rack someday, as I really loved them! I'm hoarding my last three! Here's the rest of the stamp set, so you can see the cute puns and images.

I love how the new Glitter Enamel Dots in this yellow color look like drops of honey! Perfect for my bee card and hive theme. Those will be available to order on June 1st with the new Idea Book & Catalog.

I used the Chalk Marker to accent the hive and the wings of the bee, and my journaling pens to make the little buzzy trails in the air. The spatter is from Gorgeous Grunge, a fabulous "weathering" or "interference" stamp set that is also retiring (wood or cling mount).

I'm not crazy about this last one. The addition of the wooden "Thanks" was an afterthought, and to me, the awkward placement of it is a total tell-tale! But it's cute, and I meant well. Sometimes you should just quit while you're ahead.

Thanks for taking a moment out of your busy lives to share with me today! Squeeze in some creative time this week… it's so worth it. See you tomorrow!
