Will you be getting this card from me? Spattered Sequins Butterfly cards

Last night I finally tried a technique I have admired for years now. It doesn't really have a name, but it's a really cool looking cut you do with your Paper Trimmer that leaves a straight edge with part of the main image left intact instead of cut off. I couldn't believe I waited so long to try it, with was so easy! So here's one that was "new" to me. Even after 12 years of stamping professionally, I still learn things every day!

It's so easy–just start at the top cut down to where your image begins, then lift up the blade over the image, and resume cutting to the bottom. When you take it out of the paper trimmer, use your Paper Snips to cut around the image (in my case, the tip of the wing) and discard the strip. How fun! And since it's still flat, it doesn't have bulky layers to interfere with mailing.

I made a bunch of these for the thank you cards for January's Class of the Month Club. Every month participants get a handmade card using the featured set–and it's full of samples!
