Sparkle Snowflake scrapbook page

Snowflake 6x6 page    This little cutie pie is my second cousin Emma. She and her sister Hallie provide many cute sample pages for me to show off at my events! We don't get to see them very much, but the kids get along great when we do. Natalie even named one of her Barbies "Emma"…

This page was born out of a challenge I issued to my Stampin' Up group to use a color they disliked to make a project. There are a couple of colors in the basic 48 that do not appeal to me, but I have to say Blush Blossom is the one I find the hardest to force myself to use. I think I posted a Christmas card in the non-traditional colors of Blush Blossom and Basic Gray earlier from that same challenge. Here's a page we made at the meeting that night.

The colors used were Blush Blossom and Glossy White paper for the Large Snowflake Big SHot die cut. Silver ink was used to stamp random snowflakes from Snow Swirled, that versatile holiday stamp set so many of you have already purchased! The "sparkle" stamp comes from a set on the dormant list–Warm Words–still available but not pictured in the catalog.

The glittered photo frame was as easy as pie. I just cut the white cardstock to the size I wanted and put double-sided tape on all four edges. Stampin' Up's Dazzlin' Diamonds super-fine glitter sticks to it perfectly and is much less likely to "shed" all over because it isn't so chunky like most glitters. You can then cut out the center of the cardstock to make an actual frame, or just adhere your photo over the top like I did.

The finishing touches were a knot of silver cording and a half-back pearl from the Pretties Kit. Everything combines to make a sparkly and sweet page that suits the sparkly little girl in the picture. Merry Christmas, Hallie and Emma!
