Another fantastic time at the monthly demonstrator gathering here in Watertown. I love these crazy and creative ladies!! We have such a fun evening stamping, sharing, inspiring and encouraging each other. We were also amazed to hear the individual and group grand totals for the Stampin' Up year and celebrate the many different accomplishments of our team this year. I gave away hundreds of dollars in prizes, and we had unexpected goodies from a couple of our members, as well.I'll share about the team accomplishments during Convention Week… next week!!! I hope to get pictures of our big acheivers as they receive their awards.
I'm always on the lookout for new games for us to play, and the one I designed for us this month was such a hoot, I had to type out all the details and post them to my free direct-sales inspiration blog. I called it the What Would (Lyssa) Stamp? game and you can read about it here.
Basically, I designed a simple card using limited supplies, and then sealed it in an envelope. I took all those same supplies and pre-cut cardstock pieces to the meeting and everyone had to try to think of how I would have put them together, where I would have been likely to place the embellishment, what stamps from the set I would have used. It was fun! Here is what my revealed card actually looked like…
…and here is some of the amazing variety of layouts people came up with using exactly the same tools I had. Fun! It came down to two practically identical cards (although neither was laid out exactly like mine) so we had to get really picky with the rules, and finally Lori B won because she used all four ink colors I had used. (Supplies used: Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, In Color Boutique Details, In Color ruffled stretch trim, Soft Sky, Crisp Canteloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Calypso Coral inks.)
Fun game! Loved the variety of ideas! Mostly I am humbled that I would get anything as flattering as being closest to “What Would Lyssa Stamp.” Thanks for letting me be part of your amazing group! 🙂
