Gonna brag on one of my girls here for a minute! As I mentioned, one of my team members was also selected to present at the regional conference in Milwaukee last week. Cristy Butzen did a fantastic job! You would not have known she was nervous–she aced it like a pro! Wish I'd gotten to hear it, but I was busy with my own My Digital Studio presentation. She's going to do it for us at the April demonstrator meeting, though!
Cristy had an idea to take a Framelits card to a whole 'nother level, with multiple moving parts, and it was AMAZING. She had about 11 very different samples, each one cooler than the next! The technique is a little time-consuming, so it will not be a Make N Take at a workshop, but we'll be making one of Cristy's cards at my "Try It Tuesday" class on the 27th–so RSVP today to learn this awesome trick!
I made her a card when we got back (nothing like this one!!). Inside, I wrote–"now everyone else knows what I have known all along–you are amazing." I can't wait to see where Cristy's enthusiasm and clever ideas take her next! I just love being a mentor and passing along my hard-won tips and tricks. I am my girls' (and guy!) biggest cheerleader, whether they're just getting up the courage to hold their first open house, or they are walking across the stage at our national convention.
