sneaky peeky–Gumball Green and Betsy’s Blossoms

What a crazy week! It's the last week of school for my two, and my husband's been home a week already, so we're halfway between the school schedule and the summer schedule (or lack thereof) and everything is whacky. Mike teaches online courses all year round, and of course he'd rather do them from home than clean up and go in to the office, so my computer time has been interrupted, needless to say. It will be reduced even further when the kids are totally done with school! Oh well–it's all worth it, to have my little gang around me and all the fun things we've got on the calendar for June and July.

I did manage to make a card today. Most of what I have been feverishly working on, I can't show you just yet. It's for my Hostess Appreciation Event on Tuesday. I am loving the way the decorations are turning out, and my only problem is I keep thinking of new things to make. I need to quit and focus on the other parts of the event!

This card is a fun sneak peek of the new In Colors as well as the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set. I got this for free–did you know that at certain levels in Stampin' Up, you get bundles of new product for free, every time a catalog comes out? It's totally awesome!

My favorite part of this simple, bright card is the banner. I just curled the ends of the strip around a narrow pencil and held them for a few seconds so they stayed curled. Then I attached the banner to the card with mini glue dots.

You can get Betsy's Blossoms and the coordinating Betsy's Blooms wheel after June 1, 2012, on my Stampin' Up shopping website, www.lyssa.stampinup.net Just six more days until the new catalog goes live! I can't wait! I have my wish list all typed into Excel so I can mess with the quantities and stuff until I have it just right. I know, I know–I'm such a sad case! Anyone else plan their first order out like that?

  1. Hee Hee – I plan my orders like that as well. I thought I was the only one. It makes it so easy to adjust and re-adjust what I’m going to order.
I love the banner you made. I will have to give that a try. Thanks for showing!

  2. I’m a paper and pen person, too. Also, I love how the corner of the main image panel is crumpled. I’m a texture person and I like that idea.
