It's gift card central around here this time of year, with a busy schedule and all sorts of things to celebrate like graduations and birthdays. I love the convenience of grabbing a gift card, and I'm sure the recipient enjoys getting to pick something they truly want and will use. But it still feels like cheating a little bit, doesn't it? So I usually compensate with a nice handmade gift card holder. This gift card sleeve fits the bill perfectly!
The insert pulls all the way out and you attach the gift card with a couple mini glue dots. You can see a fun graduation version here, using the same supplies and the same BYOP stamp set. These would make fantastic party invitations, wouldn't they? You could print out the inserts on your computer. And the holders fit right into any regular-sized envelopes for mailing, too.
Here's the supplies I used, if you'd like to make your own!
One more project to share today! When I cut my 12×12 papers in half to run through the Big Shot with the Treat Bag framelits, cutting one bag leaves a good-sized strip of paper unused at the end. So for each card sleeve I make, I have an extra chunk to make another project with (I love leftovers!). So here's what I made with one of those scraps, matted on a coordinating color, with a simple sentiment and three star punches. Super quick and super cute!
Thank you so much for stopping in to Song of My Heart today to see what I've been up to! Your comments keep me encouraged and posting. Have a fantastic day today, friend!
