You have got to try this fun technique! All you need is a can of cheap shaving cream and some ink refills, plus Glossy White cardstock. The shaving cream has got to be foam, not the gel kind. You'll need a Powder Pal tray or a tin pie plate, and a popsicle stick or something disposable to stir with.
Fill the tray or plate with shaving cream. Squeeze single drops of a couple of coordinating colors of ink refills onto the cream. Take your popsicle stick and swirl the cream like you would marble cake batter. Then press the glossy white cardstock into the shaving cream, glossy side down. Make sure all the corners are pressed down into it. Lift it up and lay on a paper towel ( it will be a mess). Use the popsicle stick to scrape off the shaving cream, and wipe off the rest with another paper towel. Only the ink will stick to the paper, in that marblized pattern, and it looks so cool!
You can do about four cardfront sized pieces until the shaving cream either gets too mixed up or too used up to do much good any more.
The cards above were made for IncrediCards Club and featured Tempting Turquoise, Gable Green and Green Galore re-inkers, the same colors of cardstock and brads and ribbon, and the Pun Fun Stamp set colored with WWC and aquapainters and accented with a little FIne Cosmos glitter.
The only problem with this fun technique is that your kids will think they need to be involved. So give them some cheap paper and go have some good clean fun. You'll all come out with VERY clean hands after this art project!
