This week's sketch is a "scatter" page, with photos "randomly" strewn across the background of the spread. For this fun layout, we have numbered the pictures in order from one to ten. I was thinking along the lines of "10 things i love about fall" or "10 reasons I know you love me" or "10 things I like more than chocolate." (Oh wait, I can't come up with ten). You can use chronological photos, too. Or your kids' silly faces–can they make ten different ones? The possibilities for photo journalling here are immense!
You will save yourself a lot of time and effort if you forego the individual mats on each photo in favor of one long strip in the background which will provide the services of a mat (bringing the pictures into focus).I'm all over that.
And just for fun, try to come up with ten different ways to do the numbers. You probably don't have ten different alphabet/number fonts–but your computer or My Digital Studio does, and you could punch them out. Maybe make one number from chipboard–write another in your own handwriting or have a child write in theirs–die-cut another out on the Big Shot–you get the picture! Instantly, a page that could be rather stark turns sassy and funky with numbers in every size and shape.
Happy Scrapping! And don't forget to check out the My Digital Studio are seminar on February 27th. Details can be found here.
