Scrapper’s Sketch of the Week: 12/17/09

This page takes me back to the newbie days when all I made were symmetrical, square layouts. This page could be very stark and possibly boring, but today I've shaken it up by overlapping some of the secondary photos over the primary image, and not others. I also made the four smaller images all different sizes, whereas when I was new to scrapping, they would have been identical.

Stretching the journalling out along the bottom, with plenty of white space, brings the eye down and helps balance what could be a top-heavy layout. You can save time by not matting each individual photo, because the entire photo arrangement has it's own mat to throw it into focus.
