I tell ya, I love this job. I have been having so much fun this week designing the Scrap A Stack pages for Saturday's event. For one thing, I rarely scrap in 12×12, so I enjoy having a blank canvas that large. For another, I did not order enough cardstock, so I have had to be very creative with the pages, and I enjoy a challenge.
And I also just plain LOVE scrapping. It was my first love and got left virtually in the dust when I discovered cardmaking's instant gratification. So I really like the times when I can put the cards away and focus on creating beautiful pages that showcase photos of the people I'm bananas about.
So here's four of the five designs–and read all the way to the end of the post for a special offer!
This is the first one I designed. I love using the Top Note in scrapbooking–it adds such elegance instantly. Baja Breeze felt flowers and ribbon with a little Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware accented a color scheme of Baja Breeze and Barely Banana, in a new twist on the Love You Much stamp set. Don't forget that all our patterned papers are on sale this month for buy three get one free!
Kraft cardstock is the base for this nature-themed page geared towards family photos. The Stems & Silhouettes jumbo wheel coordinates perfectly with the Wonderful You stamp set and I often use them together. And the Photo Corner punches add exactly the right touch.
I am kinda proud of this layout as it is way out of my comfort zone! I have gotten SO much good out of the Sporting stamp set. It is just perfect for any sport or activity you or your family might be interested in. This page is all about Tangerine Tango and Tempting Turquoise–they look awesome paired with Chocolate Chip! And I know my ladies will enjoy cutting out their desired headline on the Big Shot.
Some of you may recognize this design from the fundraiser crop for Juvenile Diabetes I did this past Saturday! I've doubled the spread and changed the background color, but this is a fun and versatile layout that can hold a lot of photos and still keep its coherence. I love the Big Deal alphabet–that has to be my favorite SU alphabet ever. It also showcases Stampin' Up's awesome colord coordination between our cardstock, ink and double-sided papers. Even the brads and ribbon are exact matches.
There's one more spread to design and that's tonight's goal. I'm sorry, but this event is full and I can't accept any more reservations. BUT–After the event on Saturday, I will be giving these five spreads to the first person to book a scrapbooking workshop with me the weekend of June 4-6. Contact me ASAP to reserve your first choice of dates, and get these ready-made pages as a thank-you from me! zwolaneks@att.net
These are awesome Lyssa! I’m totally going to CASE them if I ever get a scrapbook class going. I especially ♥ how you used the negative of the TN die. Very creative.
