Roommate Gifts

DSCF3341 copy

I have scheduled this post for the morning we fly out, so hopefully this is not spoiling the surprise for any of my three Leadership roomies, Yapha, Staci and Shelley. I wanted to make them something special to remember the awesome time we are going to have in Phoenix, and make it not only cute, but sturdy.

I thought these luggage tags were just the ticket! They are good and durable and will come in very handy. We're all going to be getting the same exact bag at the conference (can't WAIT to see it!!) and sometimes people will lose theirs or pick up the wrong one by accident. Smart demos bring something to tie on their strap to identify their bags–so this is a really practical gift.

I made the 3M self-laminating tags with the new glittery DSP from the Occasions Mini Catalog so they could still have a little bling and yet not leak glitter all over the airport and conference. I stamped them with the Statement of the Heart stamp I bought at Leadership last year in Orlando, and punched out their first initial with the Design Label Punch to coordinate with the Hodgepodge Hardware frame. I added a tiny SU logo from my mailing labels, and finished it off with ribbon in the matching colors. I love how they turned out!

Of course, no gift is complete until the package is just as cute as what is inside! So I made these Sending Love DSP pocket folders by scoring a 12×6 piece of double-sided paper at 4 in. and a little less than 8 in. One side got folded in for the pocket and the other side was the front cover. I maybe went a dab overboard decorating them as they took just as long to make as did the tags themselves! Hope the girls like them.
