Stampin' Up's official charity (although they generously donate to all kinds of causes) is the Ronald McDonald House. Every year they have a specific stamp set and a percentage of the sale goes towards RMDH. This year, the set is called Very Thankful and it's my favorite of all the RMDH ones I have seen.
So at our Workshop of a Lifetime team meeting, we held a limited supplies challenge to make cards for Karen's local RMDH. Stampers had to make a regular-sized card using only the materials on a certain table–no fair running to swipe a punch or ink pad from another Make N Take! They also had to use one of everything on the table. It was quite a challenge–but the best part was that Shelli got to pick her two favorites, and they got to keep the stamp sets!
But the really exciting part was, unbeknownst to me, Karen's family has a soft spot in their hearts for the RMDH because of some past health issues for one of their girls. So it was just perfect that we chose to do this activity at the meeting. Plus, it was so much fun, I think we'll make it a regular fixture. If you are a demo in my area, you're very welcome to attend my monthly meetings. Email me for details, and pretty soon YOU might be winning a limited supplies challenge yourself!
