Wow! If you've been on my blog for more than thirty seconds today, I bet you're really excited about all the fun things going on in the papercrafting world right now. Lots of exciting new products and techniques, tons of great specials, fun events coming our way–there's plenty to distract us from the sad news that a couple of our product lines are going away.
Blendabilities Markers
Unfortunately, an issue with manufacturing these markers has caused a failure rate of 30-40%–totally unacceptable, of course… and Stampin' Up was unable to find a workable solution to continue their relationship with that manufacturer. So, in order to maintain the high quality standards you have come to expect through Stampin' Up's 27-year history, the product line has been discontinued, effective immediately. No further Blendabilities will be shipped as merchandise or as Sale A Bration rewards.
I know–I'm sad too! I loved coloring with these fun new tools and it's a bummer that I won't be able to get them in more colors. But you can continue to use the Blendas you already own, and if you still have new ones purchased recently and unused–or new ones that were affected by the product defects–please let me know right away and I'll put you in the system to receive a refund or exchange. We'll make it right. I apologize for the inconvenience!
My Digital Studio
Due to the continuously-evolving nature of scrapbooking as a modern art form, and an upsurge in the technological capability to preserve memories in less traditional ways, Stampin' Up is retiring the My Digital Studio software and product line. New options and partnerships are being explored that will continue to combine the color coordination and stamp images we know and love from Stampin' Up with the ease and convenience of the digital age.
While you can continue to use the software and downloads as long as you like (I use mine for all kinds of stuff!) the product line will be discontinued on May 31st, 2015, so purchase what you want to have before then. www.mydigitalstudio.net will be taken down, and you should save and back up all your downloads as they will no longer be cached on the Stampin' Up site after May 31st. I will try to send regular reminders to get those downloads permanently transferred to a safe spot before the deadline.
"If you are brave enough to say goodbye,
life will reward you with a new hello."

Of course, every time product lines depart, new ones take their place! I'm excited to see what new "hellos" are just around the corner for Stampin' Up. Bottom line–I'm proud to represent a company that refuses to put junk on the market, and is willing to make tough decisions like this one, even when the easy thing to do would be to ignore it. Pulling the plug on a promising software that quite a few people loved dearly was also a difficult choice, not easily made. It's just another reinforcement in nearly ten years of realizing that Stampin' Up is a quality company to work for. If you'd like more information on becoming a demonstrator yourself, I'd be so honored to walk you through it and answer your questions. Let's chat!
