My stamp room looks like a whirlwind went through it this week, but I'm having fun! I'm still not back to 100% from my illness, so mostly I've just been using up odds and ends of leftover workshop and club projects and using down my supply of colors that are retiring. These two 5.25 square quilt cards above went together quickly with a little help from the Big Shot–the Scallop Square die, the Lattice die, and then the Petals A Plenty embossing folder. The texture is what really makes them seem fabric-like. And the little buttons are just a great touch!
These quilt cards and others like them were created for Josephine's Paper Box, a sweet little gift store here at The Market in Watertown. Charlotte has an eye for picking really nifty items to populate her shop. I go there all the time when I want a totally unique gift for someone. Now I have a variety of cards for sale there–go check them out!
Using up my pretty Mellow Moss taffeta ribbon, retiring this month, on this card of the same size and similar type. The Sweet Pea DSP was too pretty to cover up on this one, though! So I left it without the Lattice die cut and didn't texturize it. I'm super excited to see the NEW STACKS in the upcoming catalog! Ya'll are going to LOVE them! And this next year's selection of DSP is extremely impressive.
Ok, back to stamping! I was so busy unpacking, organizing out the old and in the new, and clearing off my table today that I actually have not done any stamping with the new Core Colors like I said I was going to! I also got TOTALLY distracted by that yummy new catalog again… !
BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the quilt look of these cards. I can’t wait to try this myself. Thanks for sharing.
