I tested the stampin' waters this weekend to see if my sprained wrist was up to some action. I've been so bored without my favorite hobby!I even tried stamping with my left hand, that's how desperate I got!!!
So I worked on some simple thank you cards for an hour Friday, then waited to see how it felt the next morning. It was pretty stiff, but I'll take it! It was worth it to get some ink on my fingers and a smile on my face.
I can also type much better than last week's hunt and peck method! : ) So we're almost back to business.
I made three easy summer layouts that all used the same square focal point image and mat. This one is so fun with the wide vertical stripes that remind me of the awning on an ice cream parlor.
I enjoyed sprinkling the self-adhesive sequins around and "frosting" the ice cream cones with Shimmer Embossing Paste to add bling and texture. Always fun to take it up a notch! That paste especially adds a neat WOW factor.
I had one little bit of the wide So Saffron striped paper, so I went with a trendy diagonal layout and spiced it up with some coordinating washi tape in contrasting but coordinating patterns.
This last one's not a new layout, but I had one piece of this adorable Tutti Frutti 6×6 paper stack left and my hubby LOVES pineapple, so… had to do it! Mmmm, now I want some Dole Whip!
Just a quick reminder that May is almost over, and so is our retirement sale (all the stamps, embellishments, Framelits and papers I used today are discontinued. Click here to see the complete details on what's leaving us and what's on steep discount.
