One of my swappers gave me this adorable, unusual pin at Convention 2011 and I get a lot of compliments on it. It is a bottlecap with a pin back, and she used our 1 inch circle punch and a stamp set and rhinestones to create a pretty insert, then covered it with a thick layer of Crystal Effects and let it dry. It is sturdy and cute! What a fun idea this would be for a kids' project or a ladies' retreat gift.
One note–either buy your bottlecaps from the craft department, or get some boutique sodas with sturdier metal caps, and be careful when you remove them from the bottle. If they get bent, you can use needle-nose pliers to get them back into shape. Hot glue or sauder the pin backs to the back of the bottlecap–and call me if you need to order the 1 inch circle punch–it's a must-have for this project!
Actually Lisa to try and keep it Stampin’ Up products as much as possible, I used Crystal Effects to glue the pin back on.
