Photo Tutorial: Flip Top Fancy Fold

Oh, you're going to LOVE this one! I really like how this card takes just one sheet of 8.5 x 11 and turns it into something really fancy, SO FAST! Here's the card closed, and the next photos show it opening….

So it opens vertically and then horizontally, isn't that fun? What a lot of lovely space to show off your pretty papers and coordinating stamps.

And the BEST part is, it fits in a regular A-2 medium envelope! Though depending on how many layers of paper you add and whether or not you use dimensionals, it may require extra postage or hand-delivery.

I made a quick video for you to get the gist of the two scores and three cuts you'll be making to get the card base, plus the measurements for all the pieces of patterned paper. I'll put the supply list below so you can order and recreate this look exactly, if you'd like!

That wasn't hard at all, was it? I love that the way the 8.5 x 11 paper is cut leaves a huge piece for use on another card, too. I like a fancy fold even more when it isn't wasteful!
