The Happy Hello card kit that is one of our Sale A Bration reward choices is super cute and super easy to put together in a flash. But did you know you can also make unique purses, boxes, gift card holders and more from those pre-cut, die-cut cards? Today and tomorrow I'm going to share three quick ideas for you that will convince you that you really oughtta place that Sale A Bration order so that one or more of these cad kits can be on the way to YOU!
This is an EASY purse that you can make in just three steps–score, adhere, embellish!
Let's begin! Each purse will use two of the pre-cut cards from the kit. It comes with eight, so you could get four purses and embellishments out of each kit. Score one of the cards at 3 inches and 5.5 inches, sandwiching the pre-scored fold which is already there at the 4.25 mark. Then, fold your card into a "w" shape as shown below:
That will be your purse's base and allow it to be freestanding.
Holding the scored base with the patterned Baja Breeze chevron design towards you, put a piece of Sticky Strip across the back just under the scalloped edge, as shown below.
Attach your second card, which will be the top flap of the purse, where you adhered the Sticky Strip. Your two joined cards should look like the photo above. The inside of this purse is pretty, too! Very chic.
Fold your purse flap over to the front and secure with a Velcro dot, magnetic closure, or ribbon tie.
The rest is just embellishing! I used the self-adhesive Basic Gray Strips and Daffodil Delight and So Saffron flowers and rhinestones provided in the kit. The only thing I needed for this project that didn't come in the kit was the Sticky Strip and the ribbon for the purse handle. Not too shabby!
Tomorrow I'll show you a quick "fry box" candy holder, and another free (always free!) photo tutorial for a super-quick gift card holder. I've got lots of ideas for these versatile kit! Good thing it's FREE during Sale A Bration with any $50 total purchase!
Lyssa- That is gorgeous!!! I’ve been looking for a wqy to change the cards slightly, but I didn’t think beyond cards. Love it!!!
