Hello, friends! Thanks for joining us today for another of Song of My Heart's fun and free photo tutorials. If there's a stamping technique or card layout you'd like to learn, email your suggestions to me at Lyssa @songofmyheartstampers.com and maybe you'll see it soon!
Today's tutorial is the super simple Baby Wipe as Ink Pad technique. Basically, we're going to create our own temporary, disposable ink pad using baby wipes and ink pad refills. This technique is not new, but scroll through to see my tips and tricks, even if you've tried this one before!
To begin, you'll need baby wipes, stamps and paper, and several colors of ink refill (sometimes referred to as reinkers). You can use any baby wipes you want for this technique, but if you use generic ones, you will want to use more, since they are not usually as thick as the fancier brands.
You'll also want to put down something to protect your surface. And if you really hate getting ink on your hands, you could even grab a rubber or latex glove. This technique doesn't HAVE to be messy, but it can be!
Ok, we're all set!
There you have it! A simple and fast technique, yet you'll be hearing "WOW, how did you DO that?" from your friends when they get this card from you. I love techniques that deliver a lot of bang for their buck. This one takes just a few drops of ink, you'll get 10-15 images from one set of wipes, and it's cheap. Just use the clean edge of the wipes to clean up the mess and you're ready to go.
You can see several cards done with this technique here.

Lyssa – can I just tell you how brilliant you are! I love the tip to save ink. I’ve done this technique before, but hated wasting ink. Will have to try again with your instructions. Thanks so much for sharing!
