Pecos Bill and Slue-Foot Sue (and Widder Quackenbush)

It's been a little while since I posted some family news. This spring is just FLYING by! Last week was a busy week for the Z family… Natalie (7th grade) was in the school play, and Dan and Mike ran the sound and light boards. I didn't paint the set this year, but was still pretty busy getting everyone fed and ferried to rehearsals on time.

I was so proud of Dan (9th grade)! Mike volunteered him for this activity, but we knew as soon as he saw all the tech involved, he'd be 100% on board. I'm so happy to share that he is now registered for the Video/Tech track of the university's Music & Drama Camp this summer! I just love that God has provided him with a way he can be a part of these productions and support his classmates (and his baby sister's passion) while remaining safely BEHIND the curtain : )

No need to worry about Natalie not enjoying herself–the child is a born actress! She highly enjoyed her role as the Widow Quackenbush. I probably should have warned her director that she JUST watched Gone with the Wind for the first time : ) All the kids got into the Western theme and accents. This group was 100% ALL-IN!

Mike and I were both active behind and in front of the curtain in college, so it's fun to see Natalie enjoying that activity, too. From the kindergarten production of Little Red Hen, where she played the title role, she was hooked!

Thankful for involved parents, fantastic volunteer directors from the University, and great kids to work with! What a great experience. "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with all thy might." Ecc. 9:10

That's a wrap!
