These little aliens make me smile! I have been CLEANING up/out my stamp room this month (it's a multi-day process!) in preparation for the exciting fall class schedule I have planned for you all, and I came across three little Tempting Turquoise spaceships I had stamped on Glossy White cardstock back when I first got this set, and then never did anything with. I couldn't bear to throw them out, so I made three cards the other day–here they are! Funny how they all turned out totally different and even used different color combos.
I was so pleased to see the circle punches coordintating with the spaceship window so perfectly in this stamp set. It made it very simple to get the little astronaut into his ship and give the card some dimension. I also used the negative of a circle punch as a mask to stamp the little guy right into his ship, too, as below.
Yep, those are pearls on this Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight card! The largest size of the Basic Pearls (not the Jumbo) fit right into the little circle around the spaceship and give it a LOT of texture. Never thought I'd use pearls on a boy card, but it's cute! Maybe I'll make a pink/rose girly version. What do you think? Have you ever used a "girly" embellishment on a masculine card?
omg those are so darling! love the 3-d effect with the boy in the spaceship, and the fun bright colors!
These are all so cute – and the pearls work perfectly on that little space ship.
I have a little drawer of “can’t part with them” pieces too.
Lyssa – I LOVE it!!! Also, have you tried the googly eyes from the Ghoolish Googlies on those aliens in the first card? I don’t have this set so I can’t try it but I thought it might work! 🙂
I’m working towards Leadership 2013 and hoping to see you there and be in the great CQS swap again! 🙂
