I switched from traditional red and green to a palette of neutral and metallics for my next batch of Christmas cards. Normally I'm not so heavily into gold over silver, but I have a TON of gold metallic foil cardstock to use up. I don't use a lot of metallics in the spring, so it's clean out/clear up time–the perfect excuse to dive right in and go crazy with it.

I made three versions of this batch of 30 cards. They all used identical supplies…. here's the list!

The trees are the easy to die-cut. This was my original thought. Not crazy about the ruched ribbon, though. It suits the Victorian look but it's just hanging out awkwardly by itself at the bottom.

Then I decided an intricate snowflake might look nice, although it totally covered up the little gold plaid accent I'd added on the left side of my sentiment. I do really like this one.

Loved the elegant stocking one, but it necessitated putting the sentiment at an angle in order to balance all the elements. And I'm not as excited to tie all those little bows. I like bows and I'm good at tying them, but it does get tedious.
