Ouchies at the Carnival

We had an exciting Saturday going to a free community carnival here in Casper put on by a bunch of the area clinics and the new hospital–a little too exciting there at the end! Dan was playing on this big bouncy thingy…

…and one of the times he got knocked over, his knee went backwards. Poor baby! He really cried. Thankfully, we were right there at the hospital! We had "curbside service" for first aid treatment.

He's fine now after a day of babying, so no permanent damage done, but it did put a dent in the rest of the carnival. We all decided a snow cone and a cotton candy was better than Tylenol any day.

But before the boo-boo to Boo Bear, it really was fun. Natalie's favorite part was the Bubble Tent put on by the Science Zone. We all ate too much–free hamburgers and brisket, chips, cookies, popcorn, Pepsi products, bottled water and the aforementioned snow cones and cotton candy–plus there were all kinds of cute giveaways like brain-shaped footballs, heart-shaped sidewalk chalk, free coloring books. The kids got a tour of an ambulance and a fire truck, too. How nice that our visit here coincided with this carnival!

  1. Sounds like a great carnival and how handy (as it turns out) that it was put on by the clinics and new hospital. Glad your young man is feeling better!
