One to receive, the other to give

We had the best Sunday at our church yesterday. The music was incredible, one song in particular moved me to tears, and you could just feel the unity of the brethren. For our closing chorus, we sang "I'm so Glad I'm a Part of the Family of God" and –I really WAS, you know what I mean? It's been a long season of wilderness wandering these past few years, and I am soaking up the water of life in the oasis God has placed our family in to rest and rejuvenate. He is so gentle with His broken ones.

I hope you have that as well, dear reader. And if you don't–keep looking. There IS a family of believers out there waiting to accept and welcome you. You are very welcome to come visit our church if you live nearby–I'll even take you out to lunch afterwards, how's that? My kids would also be delighted to have your kids as visitors for Sunday School, Truth Trackers on Wednesdays, or our week of Vacation Bible School. Hey, it's free babysitting, you know? Shoot me a line: zwolaneks@att.net

The stamp set "Trust God" is one of my favorite sets, and I love how it fits so well with the look of this card. I know, it's not my usual style, is it? But I liked how it turned out. Unfortunately the papers (from the Print Poetry stack) are retired now, as is the lace (from the Artisan Embellishments kit). But you can still get the stamp sets–I also used the Secret Garden set–and the colors I used, if you want to recreate the look at home with other papers.

Speaking of retired things… the retirement lists end TODAY, June third. It's the truly last and final day you can order from the outgoing Idea Book & Catalog. If there's something you had your eye on–it's "time to fish or cut bait!" Contact me if you need anything, or shop online quickly and easily with any credit card on my shopping website, www.lyssa.stampinup.net.

Thanks for keeping up with me during this SUPER busy time of year. I know I haven't posted much actual stamping lately, with the end of school, our Fiji trip, The Great Flu of '13, the big stamp room re-do, painting my kitchen, rubber rummage, and now I've taken on a wedding in just four weeks–but that should change now and I'll have more time to create. Look out world, I've got new stamps and I'm not afraid to use 'em!

  1. Amen to your post! We have WONDERFUL fellowship at our church. I am SO excited to worship God every Sunday and I feel so much spiritual life in our church. It is such a refreshing and renewing way to begin a week.
I have this same stamp set and love it. I just used it a couple days ago. I have been making many cards with it and I leave them in a box at our church for anyone to take. Gives me a reason to buy new stuff, you know? 🙂
