Confession time… The saying on the front of this card reads, "always thinking of you." Ironic that these cards were next in the lineup of stuff for me to blog today, because I was NOT thinking of others and did something really bone-headed this morning. I sent off an email without thinking about how it might make the two recipients feel. I regretted it pretty much right away, and finally felt bad enough about my selfish action to send a second, apologetic email a few hours later. Sigh… ever have one of those days? Where you do a complete 180-degree turnaround while swallowing a big lump of pride and trying to forumlate an apology that begins with "Please ignore me–I am a total loser?" Yeah, that was me today.
See, this is how not stamping can get you into trouble. If I'd been safely stampin' away in the stamp room today, this never would have happened. So take my advice and stamp a little every single day! And make sure you have "I messed up" stamps for the days you wind up doing that about-face and having to apologize. We sell those. I must not be the only one who needs them! : )
Anyway… the cards, the cards… you want to know about the cards! These are some super-simple "one-layer plus" cards, kind of my version of one-layer cards only I add a punched piece or a hand-cut item to the stamping, which is otherwise done all on a single layer (Very Vanilla) in a single color ink (Chocolate Chip.)
I tried the one-layer+ challenge with the new Flower Shop bundle, a cute new set and matching punch that just came out in the new catalog. The sayings are from a wonderful new hostess-exclusive stamp set called Express Yourself (click here to read about how you can get hostess-only items without hosting a party in your house!). Express Yourself has 12 different sayings, and Flower Shop has six different flowers, all of which fit in the coordinating punch (which is called the Pansy punch, nevermind that it looks nothing like the flower of that name whatsoever, see photo below.) But regardless of the misnomer, it is definitely a must-have bundle! Can't wait to play some more with the other flowers in the set.
