Inspired by some great one-layer cards I have seen in the past, this week I sat down and put together my new Trust God stamp set and had ink on it within two minutes of slapping the final sticker onto the wood.
Ready for a little challenge? I used just one color of cardstock, and one color of ink (Island Indigo) for these cards. I call them One-Layer+ cards because a true one-layer (sometimes called no-layers) card is literally completely flat. I did hand cut one flower and raise it on a dimensional. So these are one-layers with a little "pop!"
Love the sayings and verses in that Trust God set. I paired it with the Fabulous Florets stamp set, a bold graphic look that is softened up by the monochromatism and the stamping-off technique I used.
So, what do you say? Up for the challenge? One color of ink and one color of cardstock–GO!
How about I just copy what you’ve done?
I’m seeing no need to recreate the wheel … I’ll just stalk you! 😉
these are beautiful. the subtle images pair nicely with the beautiful sentiments.
I was not able to tell you in person at the meeting Monday, but when I saw these I was blown away with their beauty, but simplicity!
