This is a card I came up with for Incredible Cards Club, which meets on the third Monday of each month year-round. We're just starting a new hostess rotation, so let me know if I can squeeze you in! We make three quite advanced cards (you know, the kind that never get thrown away!) and I show off all the latest in embellishments, dies, layouts and techniques. I also take special requests, if a club member has seen something they really want to try! It's a great time and I hope you can join us one month as a guest.
We went to town decorating this one, using the new Scallop Trim Sale A Bration punch, Shimmer Spray, the Beautiful Wings Embosslit from the Occasions Mini Catalog, and Sweet Pea DSP from the same. The stamp set is one of the most useful ones I own–On Your Birthday. It comes with a large variety of birthday sayings all in different styles, so you have something to suit any card of birthday card you made.
Well, the title of this post comes in because I have been trying to come up with a good name for this design. As you can see in the open view, there is a gift card holder built into the back of the card. The card base is actually comprised of two complete cards joined overlapping in the center, the the notch for the gift card punch out of the topmost overlap. If that made any sense to you, I'm glad! If it didn't make sense, just grab two cards, open both of them and overlap them and you'll see what I mean. Mine is Sticky-Stripped together so there's no way the gift card could fall out.
So if you have a good name (or if someone else has named this layout), please leave me a comment so I know what to call it! Thanks!
I would call it a tri-fold gift card holder or maybe a Duo card w/ gift card holder. Anyway, really like the idea! Thanks for sharing!
I thought of “Tri-panel gift card holder” or “Brochure-style card w/gift card holder”. Either way, this card is gorgeous and fun too!
Sorry about the multiple posts, but just as I pressed enter I thought of one more–“Portfolio card w/gift card holder”.
Lyssa- I don’t know what you should call it.. but I LOVE this card design.
really a very cute card front.. the rest is bonus!!
just found this one – I would call it a doubly-gifted card
