I'm finally published! Whoo hoo! Check out this screen shot of the Stampin' Success magazine for June 2009. I am SO glad I took the time to put my idea into cardstock and mail it off the DAY BEFORE we left on the Hawaii incentive trip, because it won the "Hats Off" graduation card contest and I get three free "any price" stamp sets!
You can re-create my chubby little owl with your Stampin' Up punches–
- 1.75 inch circle for the tummy (Chocolate Chip)
- Scallop Circle cut in half for the wings (Close to Cocoa)
- Round Tab for the head (Close to Cocoa)
- 1/2 inch circle for the eyes (Barely Banana)
- Five Petal Flower for the beak (More Mustard)
- Boho Blossoms for the feet (Really Rust)
- Small Tag with the bottom shortened up for the hat base (Basic Black)
- Word Window cut in half horizontally for the hat brim (Basic Black)
Sponge the edges with the appropriately colored ink to add dimension, and use Stampin' Dimensionals to add each layer. Try this cute little guy on a scrapbook page, too! You can make him with or without the hat, too. Owls are back in again!
whoo hoo! Congratulations. A very wise owl indeed picked your lovely creation.
Hugs and blessings – Jean
